cPanel Video Tutorial – Disk Space Usage

This video explains how to use the disk space usage feature to find out where your account size is being used. Usually it’s either emails or files using up your account space. But you need to be able to find out exactly so that you can take action. Either remove the files / emails, or if it’s legitimate account growth, upgrade your account.

How to use Google Analytics to Track Your Website?

Following on from last months video covering using your inbuilt hosting account Awstats stats package, this month I’m showing you an alternative that I highly recommend.

Google Analytics is my preferred choice of free stats packages to track your website progress and give you insight into enhancing your online marketing.

The only downside is that you need to install a piece of code on your website to allow Google to collect data. It’s not that hard, get a tech friend to help you if you aren’t confident, or give us a call.

cPanel Video Tutorial – How to Use, Read, Understand Awstats

If you’ve ever wanted to know how to track how your website is doing, good, bad or otherwise, you need to examine your web logs.

Reading through raw weblogs is impossible so using a 3rd party reporting tool called Awstats that comes with cPanel hosting control panels, makes it very easy to track your websites progress.

This video explains how to use, read, and understand Awstats.

Using Video to Grow Your Online Business

Recorded at the Brisbane Internet Business Meetup in Feb 2011.

Here are the slides of the presentation in PDF format (right click to download).

There were many more questions about using video on your website that I didn’t include in this video, since it was getting rather long.

Forgive the video quality I used a 12 year old video camera to record this (and had trouble getting the video off the camera onto the computer), but the audio is great since I use my trusty Sony MP3 audio recorder.

This is a prime example of the need to have a HD digital video camera with a hard drive and a good zoom in it for those longer than 20 minute video recordings.

Don’t let the technology stop you, just do something and get it out there. You can fine tune it as you go along.
